Over past few years grazing has been used as a management tool on Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge. This Conservation Grazing training will be an opportunity to observe grazing disturbances on invasive species, woody plants, and other sensitive areas to help improve habitat quality and plant biodiversity. We will evaluate indicators of rangeland health and look for opportunities to improving or maintaining forb diversity. You will get the thought process of development of a conservation grazing plan and planning considerations. Listen to producer’s views on bid processes and how to establish a better relationship. Have an open discussion on becoming more efficient and effective with developing of bids to accomplish goals.
