Beefing up staffers’ grazing expertise

A three-day Advanced Grazing Management training gave 22 field staffers hands-on experience in the University of Minnesota Extension's North Central Research and Outreach Center pasture. The Technical Training and Certification Program course is the highest-level grazing training offered in the state.

BWSR, state emphasize climate work

BWSR and other state agencies are increasing efforts to address the economic, environmental and health effects of the state’s changing climate. 

Wetland training program sees early success

The Minnesota Wetland Professional Certification Program (MWPCP) certified 150 people during its first two years. In 2021 and 2022, the program offered nearly 20 training events throughout the state, drawing more than 400 people each year.

Clean Water Fund pilot program aims to expand partnerships

BWSR is preparing to launch a pilot program that will offer additional Clean Water Fund grant opportunities to tribal governments and NGOs within the state. The application window is expected to open later this year.
