BWSR Academy is a training event for conservation-based local government staff.

2025 Academy Session Tracks and Definitions
Technical - This track provides training on technical knowledge and skills necessary to assess and address conservation priorities in Minnesota. (Unless Wetlands and Soils focus.)
Fiscal & Programs - This track focuses on skills needed to obtain, track, and manage funds and non-technical administrative requirements of BWSR programs.
Emerging Topics - This track focuses on new topics of interest within the natural resources field as well as existing topics that continue to evolve in scope and understanding.
Organizational Capacity - This track focuses on building internal LGU capacity. Participants will enhance their skills in managing/working within their organization and partnering with other LGUs.
Outreach - This track focuses on skills for communicating, educating, and engaging with the public.
Wetlands and Soils - This track focuses on content that is either wetlands or soils related to enhance knowledge and skill building in those areas.
Workshops - NOTE: There will be four workshop slots. A workshop is two 90-minute sessions back-to-back.
