ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) has selected eight organizations to receive $1.16 million in Clean Water Funds through the Clean Water Legacy Partners Grant Program.
Twenty-four organizations applied during a Request for Proposals (RFP) that opened Feb. 18 and closed May 19. Tribal Governments, Intertribal Consortiums and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were eligible to apply for this round of funding.
“Tribal Governments and nonprofit partners play a key role in implementing conservation projects that protect, enhance and restore water quality throughout Minnesota,” said BWSR Executive Director John Jaschke. “These grants will support essential conservation work such as suburban stormwater practices, agricultural best management practices, shoreline stabilization projects, drinking water protection and public engagement efforts.”

About the Minnesota Clean Water Fund: Minnesota voters approved the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment in 2008 in part to protect, enhance, and restore habitat, lakes, rivers, streams, and groundwater.
