Training Description:
Are you wondering what tree to plant to replace the ash tree that you have or need to cut down? This workshop will discuss how to select and care for tree species that are expected to be adapted to Minnesota's future climate. UMN Extension educators Angie Gupta and Gary Wyatt will be leading this interactive program about climate ready trees on Tuesday, September 29 from 1 to 4 at the Watonwan County Human Services meeting room in St. James. There will be a hour long presentation, and then the group will drive out (carpool) to Gary Wyatt's property to walk around and talk about the different trees he has planted. This site also has examples of the Silvopasture system, grazing livestock with trees.
