A conservation plan is more than a job sheet. It’s a roadmap that helps landowners identify their unique needs and build a long-term vision for their land.

In this webinar, we’ll revisit the core purpose of conservation planning and how it guides our work and strengthens relationships with producers. Presenters will explore how conservation plans can function as living, collaborative tools – grounded in landowners’ goals and designed to evolve as conditions and priorities change.

Key discussion points will include:
  • Why conservation plans should be viewed as living roadmaps, not static documents
  • How to position the plan as the landowner’s plan—built around their goals and vision
  • The importance of plain-language summaries that translate planning into action
  • How communicating economic realities can shape strong relationships
  • Why conservation planning is progressive, relationship-driven, and revisited over time

This webinar is hosted by the National Conservation Planning Partnership.
