Training Description:
Small group On the Job Training (OJT) for herbaceous vegetation establishment practices. Attendees will meet, virtually or in person, with the same group over the course of four months. The focus of these meetings is the planning, design, and installation/certification of seeding practices. The core practices that will be the focus of the OJT in this cohort will include:
- Conservation Cover (327)
- Restoration and Management of Rare or Declining Habitats (643)
- Wildlife Habitat Planting (420)
By the end of the cohort participants will be able to plan, design and certify at least one seeding practice that treats site specific resource concerns using seed mixes and facilitating practices that meet NRCS practice standards while also taking site conditions and landowner objectives into consideration. Participants can use their cohort project to demonstrate competence to receive JAA for their selected seeding practice(s).
