Highlights from the 2019 Spring edition include: 

1W1P Planning Grant: RFP now open

The Request for Proposals for planning grants opened March 28, 2019 and closes at 4:30 PM on Thursday June 6, 2019.

Planning grants are available to groups of counties, soil and water conservation districts, and watershed districts within a One Watershed, One Plan Planning Boundary (see the map on the BWSR website). This year's RFP is very similar to the 2018 RFP, with questions geared towards helping partnerships start early on working together. Read more

Returning Unspent Grant Funds?

As a reminder, unspent grant funds must be returned to BWSR within 30 days of when the grant agreement has expired. Read more

Technical Training in eLINK

This summer, BWSR will launch a new Technical Training component in eLINK. This system will allow SWCD, TSA, and NRCS staff to view their Job Approval Authority (JAA) status, as well as be able to enter and update their training goals. BWSR's Technical Training and Certification Program (TTCP) staff and local Area Technical Training Teams will use the information to tailor the training courses they provide, and to track completion of BWSR-hosted TTCP courses. Updates coming to the Noncompliance Policy in the Grants Administration Manual

The Grant Noncompliance Policy in the GAM will updated for FY 2020 to provide more clear direction for grantees and document BWSR's compliance with relevant Statute. Look for the revised policy to be posted on or before July 1, 2019.

The policy outlines the process for communicating a finding of noncompliance to a grantee and what the implications and next steps may be. Read more
