Training Description:

Small group On the Job Training (OJT) for critical area planting herbaceous vegetation establishments in a shoreland setting. Attendees will meet virtually with the same group over the course of several months. Groups will be led by a TTCP Training Conservationist with assistance from other partner subject matter experts. The focus of these meetings is the planning, design, and installation/certification of the Critical Area Planting (CPS 342) practice with native seeds or seedlings.
This is NOT an introductory level training. You are expected to have a baseline knowledge for planning and practice design BEFORE attending this training.
By the end of each cohort, participants should be able to plan, design and certify the Critical Area Planting practice in a shoreland setting that treats site specific resource concerns using seed mixes, seedling plugs and facilitating practices that meet NRCS practice standards, also taking site conditions and landowner objectives into consideration. Participants can use their cohort project to demonstrate competence to receive JAA.
