From landowners to federal, state and local agencies that administer programs, conservation is all about partnerships. First shown at the MASWCD Conference in December, the Minnesota Conservation Partnership video was produced by MASWCD, NRCS and BWSR, and highlights on-the-ground efforts in Minnesota.

Senate committee recommends Napstad as BWSR Chair

On Thursday, Jan. 17, the Senate Committee on Environment and Energy unanimously recommended confirmation for Brian Napstad as the Chair of the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR).

Cooperative partnership leads to new waterfowl production area

Looking for a new hunting or wildlife watching site in Blue Earth County? Thanks to a bevy of federal, state and local partners, the Lincoln WPA now boasts two major restored wetland basins and houses migrating duck, geese and shorebirds.

Winkelman Models Conservation

Best known for his television shows "Good Fishing" and "Outdoor Secrets," Babe Winkelman has been sharing his passion for the outdoors with America for more than 35 years. Winkelman grew up on a small farm near Duelm, Minn., where he learned the value of protecting and preserving natural resources for future generations. Today, his focus on conservation allows him to highlight the importance of Soil and Water Conservation Districts(SWCDs).
